London is a city of history, but it's also a city of theatre. Home to West End, one of the most well-known theater districts in the world. And rightfully so! I saw three incredible shows, all different and unique filled with a beyond talented cast!

2/3 of the shows we saw were spontaneous decisions. The first one being Curious Incident of the Dog and the Nighttime. A remarkable show depicting how a child thinks, and the struggles of a family. I'm more of a musical person, but for a play I really enjoyed this show.

The next show we saw was Waitress. The story of this show, about finding ways to deal with the crap life throws at you. It's about finding love, not in someone else but through yourself. Not just accepting the situation, but willing to pick yourself up and change it. Being open to love and new opportunities.

Katherine McPhee, a contestant on American Idol, was the lead, Jenna, and she was phenomenal. I had not yet seen this show, so I went it with no expectations only knowing the songs. I was surprised, in the best way. About halfway through the first act, a new character was introduced, Ogie. From the moment he said his first word I knew EXACTLY who the actor was. Jack McBrayer, from 30 Rock and SNL, was one of the last people I thought I would see on a London stage, but there he was.

After the show I got the pleasure of meeting some of cast, who fan-girled over my American-southern accent. I met Jack after the show too, and we bonded about being Southern born and raised.

The final show I saw on West End was Six, a remarkable show celebrating the six women who were once married to Henry the VIII. Six retells the story of these women in a modern twist, with influence from today's biggest artists like Beyonce, Rihanna, and Adele. History, or should I say HER-story is present fills the auditorium. Female power radiates off the stage and I was absorbing every bit of it! Full of British charm, humor and talented, these women tell the story of Queens like you've never heard before.

I love the theater district here in London, and I cannot wait to come back and experience more shows.
